Next Annual Porchetta Day

Succulent pork, delicious pastries and classic Italian pizza helped attract nearly 1500 people to Gunnedah’s Annual Porchetta Day, held at the Gunnedah Kennel Club grounds on Saturday, September 26, 2009.

Windy conditions didn’t do anything to deter the hoards of visitors who poured through the gates for the event.

Annual Porchetta Day chairman Richard Gallen said the day exceeded all expectations, with great comments received from both locals and newcomers to Gunnedah.

“We’ve had a lot of great comments about what a brilliant concept Annual Porchetta Day is,” Mr Gallen said.

After such a successful day the organising committee are already starting to talk about next year’s event, which is sure to build on the success of 2009.
